Classical Christianity
Dennis brings forward the teaching of the Early Church Apostles, Presbyters, and the Fathers into the Way of today.
Commentary on Galatians Chapter One Part Two
Dennis comments upon verses 6 through 9 of Galatians Chapter One. The Apostle Paul rebukes the majority of the Galatian church with relative mildness, saving his harshest criticism for the ringleaders of the heresy that is afoot, troubling the congregations. Paul uses the strongest condemnatory language toward the troublemakers and pronounces an anathema on them---twice! Paul's brilliant verbal and pastoral calculation is fascinating reading, underscoring our modern need for ministry leadership that is not soft on doctrine, preserving the true gospel of Christ. The stakes could not be higher for the Apostle. If Christ alone is not sufficient to save, then the Galatians are yet in their sins and alienated from God. A return to the law, departing from grace, is a return to captivity to sin and death. Dennis utilizes the resource of the commentaries of the Church Fathers.
Commentary on Galatians Chapter One
Dennis comments upon the first five verses of Galatians Chapter One. The Apostle Paul greets the Galatians without warmth, establishes his authority, sets forth the divinity of the Son, begins to rebuke the the churches for their departure from grace back to the law, and, in spite of everything, ministers grace and peace to them. Dennis utilizes the resource of the commentaries of the Church Fathers.
The Liturgy of the Feast of Hippolytus
Dennis joyfully offers for modern usage this marvelous early Church fellowship feast as a deeply meaningful, reflective, and celebratory act of corporate worship. The way Dennis reconstructs it, there is within the celebration a profound feel of passing first through the "dark night of the soul" that breaks into the progressive dawning of a joyful ascent into the Light of the holy mountain. The Feast of Hippolytus in every way symbolizes the Friends' shared journey along the Way.
The Apostle John
In this basic, introductory article, Dennis exposes his Way Friends to the wonderful, miraculous, and highly inspiring long life of the great Apostle of Love, John. The Apostle John is a top-tier example of the transformational power of the Holy Spirit. He went from his early teen years of following Jesus, wherein he was called by the Master,"Boanerges (son of thunder)", for his temper and impulsiveness, to the patient, last survivor of Jesus' Twelve who guided the early Church alone at its head for the last twenty, perhaps thirty, years of his life. It is said of him that in his later stage of life and ministry, he so stressed the idea that "faith works by love" that he went around calling everyone "beloved" at every opportunity. The old apostle inspired the infant Church through terrible Roman persecution, being himself boiled in oil by the Emperor Domitian, but coming to no harm. This article contains biographical information on John through his ministry years with Jesus when the Master was on earth in the flesh. The companion article, "The Apostle John During and After Christ's Passion" continues John's life and ministry story.
The Apostle John During and After Christ's Passion
The story of the Apostle John's life continued, sketching in highlights the major events of his life and ministry from Christ's Passion to the death of the Beloved Apostle.
Frankenstein Theology

He explores some of the major cracks and fissures with sensitivity and his characteristic logic and balance. An excellent, engaging, friendly, and creative read, this article compels reasonable Christians to deal honestly with a tough issue over which we may all too easily be dogmatic.
